Storm & Hail Damage in Boise & the Treasure Valley

Hail and strong winds hit the Treasure Valley from time to time, mostly in spring and summer. Hail damage often can't be seen from the ground. It shows up as bruised or cracked shingles, dented vents and gutters, and granules collecting at the downspouts.

What to do after a storm

1. Photograph any visible damage from the ground, with the date.
2. Read your homeowner's policy and note any deadline for filing a claim.
3. Get an inspection from a contractor registered in Idaho.
4. Be careful with door-to-door "storm chasers". Ask for a local address and verify their registration.
